Digesto

How can we improve Digesto?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

Feedback received from Lily at Wepay : Twitter share link within each post exceeds the character limit. Can we revise to -> "{Blog.Title}" bit.ly link #payments via @WePay. Also, how do I revise this myself in the future?

Twitter won’t count the url in the limits anymore (this is recent…since 2016 I think). So despite a negative count, the post will go out. I tested it to confirm – see screenshots attached. Although we cannot get a bitly link in Digesto today, I think there is room to improve the user experience. We will consider these improvements in future release.

    • Ability to Test New Posts Only Feature

In this FAQ: http://community.perkuto.com/knowledgebase/articles/322146-step-4-test-and-activate-your-digest it says: "The TEST will grab all posts (as opposed to the scheduled Digest that will only grab newly published content since last run)"

We need another button that allows us to "TEST NEW POSTS ONLY" to ensure that we're only grabbing the new posts since the last test... the way that the scheduler works.

Hi, thanks for your feedback! I can see that ‘testing" for new posts would be very usefull . There is currently a way to build a quality assurance Digest and I think it could help with filling the gap that you described. Here is a new article I’ve just built to explain the concept. Your feedback is welcome! http://community.perkuto.com/knowledgebase/articles/843975-building-a-digesto-quality-assurance-qa-program

      • Ability to create a digest or automated email of the top 5 newsfeed content

We want to be able to automate the delivery of the top 5 or 10 most popular headlines/stories based on the most clicked headline or story link from our newsfeeds. We want to do something like the 5 or 10 most read stories and send it to a particular segment. Does anyone know how to do this?

This is a complex feature for us to develop, considering that there is no indicator of the popularity of your posts.

Your CMS or RSS toll is likely the best suited solution to achieve this.

For example Drupal and Workpress both offer customization option or plugins to extract most popular feeds.

          Ex:
          https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-popular-posts/

          https://wordpress.org/support/topic/display-most-popular-posts-without-plugin-by-viewed-taxonomy

          https://www.drupal.org/project/mostpopular

Once your most popular feeds are structured in an RSS/Atom feed, Digesto can easily plug into it and distribute to your subscribers.
