Digesto

How can we improve Digesto?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".
(thinking…)

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

  1. Ability to use <media:content> tags

We would like the ability to use images contained in the <media:content> tag from an RSS feed. The "tokens" within Digesto do not allow us to pull the images we use in our current digest solution.

      Hi Liz,
      This feature was just released.

From your Digest editor, make sure you are using the “Advanced” option as a Digest Template. Toggle to code view (</>)
and use this tag to insert the media content Image URL into your template: {{ITEM-MEDIA-CONTENT-IMAGE-URL}}.

Don’t hesitate to reach out if you need assistance with this.

      Best,
      The Digesto Team

    • date format

We use this program for international audiences. Right now, the date format comes in US format. I would like to be able to customize the date format in my emails.

For example, I might have one digest for Germany. That should be in the german format. And another digest for US. I would like that in US format.

This feature has just been added to Digesto.

You can now specify inline CSS and/or image attributes that will be applicable to your feed images, or chose to extract feed images to handle them directly in your Digest template.

Please check out our Summer 2015 Release Notes to find out about the details.

Looking forward for your feedback on this new release!

          Cheers,

          David

          • Allow basic design for email content

On the digest definitions form, add design options.
            My idea for simple implementation:
            [selector textbox] - [style textbox]
            example:
            ['a'] - ['color:"white"']
            [.post-header'] - ['font-weight: bold']

You will just need to add style="[style textbox content]" to every element that matches the selector in that line.

            • Allow custom tracking parameters in the URL of the Digest

Allow the user to append URLs of the Digest with a Custom Tracking URL Parameter. Tracking parameter should be specific for each URL's domain.

              • Scheduler: Allow multiple schedules per day

Allow to run the digest (check for new articles & schedule Marketo email) multiple time per day Ex: 12 times per day would allow to do it almost every hour. Also allow to pick a flexible time for each schedule (Ex:6:00AM 8:00 AM, 11:00AM, 1:30PM & 4:00PM).

You now have the ability to skip weeks. From the Digest Editor, use the field: “*Every” and set the number of weeks to skip.

We haven’t seen anyone skipping months so far – let us know if monthly is needed for your project and we’ll reopen a new vote box!
